14th International Postgraduate Course on Advances in Cardiac Ultrasound
February 17-21, 2008, Davos, Switzerland

The event has been accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology
for 23 CME credit hours.

It is our pleasure to invite you to this course, which will provide a unique and worthwhile understanding of the most recent, and rapidly evolving areas in cardiac ultrasound. We follow a multidisciplinary educational approach with didactic lectures, panel discussions and plenty of cases of Echo/Doppler. Topics presented will focus on standard and emerging technologies and their relevance in clinical scenarios including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvar heart disease, etc. Stress echocardiography, contrast echocardiography and three-dimensional echocardiography are updated. Particular emphasis will be on evaluation of patients with heart failure and selection for synchronization therapy.

After each presentation, many illustrative echo/Doppler studies and multiple choice questions, which are used for ESC/EAE accreditation and based on the European Textbook of Cardiology, will be interactively discussed.
The course is primarily designed for cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, cardiovascular fellows, and cardiac sonographers as a valuable educational experience.
